About Us

Our ministry first began in 2000, when our Executive Director, Sue Marshall, traveled to Russia and saw first-hand the needs of orphans in Russia. Sue began developing relationships with orphanage directors and staff in Russia. Through the years, the Lord expanded her deep love for Russia and orphans, and placed people in her path who could help advance the ministry. Local volunteers were recruited and equipped to work with the orphanage staff and children. Fory Charitable Trust was created in 2008 to carry on the legacy of Wilma Fory’s support of our work with orphans in Russia. At the time of its creation, Fory Charitable Trust was given authorization to work in two countries—Russia and Ukraine. Sue chose to continue working with Russian orphans because of the connections she had made beginning in 2000. However, due to the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine, we are now providing assistance to Ukrainian orphans. We sponsored a camp for an orphanage in Vinnytsia, Ukraine that houses children that have lost their parents due to the war. Our plans include partnering with the orphanage in Vinnytsia to meet its needs. A team of volunteers will travel to Poland and Romania in December to provide Christmas gifts for Ukrainian orphans and refugee children in these countries.  

A New Name

Fory Charitable Trust has a new d/b/a – Fory Orphan Care! Plans are currently being formulated to expand our work with orphans to other Eastern European countries, especially those that are now providing accommodations to orphans that have been displaced from Ukraine. Our goal is to partner with the orphanage in Vinnytsia to provide for the well-being of the children traumatized by the war. We will also continue to provide for and work with orphans in Russia through our team of Russian volunteers. We remain committed to improving the lives of orphans.

Mission Statement

The mission of Fory Orphan Care is to improve the lives of orphans in Eastern European countries.

We achieve our mission by:

  • Ministering to children who have been orphaned or are at-risk of being orphaned.
  • Equipping individuals to minister to orphans through mission trips, volunteering and giving opportunities.
  • Training and equipping local volunteers to serve as mentors, teaching social and life skills.
  • Providing humanitarian aid and support for programs and building improvements.
  • Fostering programs that care for the mental, physical, and spiritual needs of orphans.
  • Exhibiting God’s special love for orphans through the work we do.
